What your website needs to do
A shop people enjoy using
Online shoppers are impatient. Every slow page, confusing filter and clunky checkout step costs you sales.
Rules, badges and trust
Accessibility is now part of selling into Europe
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025. If you sell to consumers in EU countries, your online shop is likely to be covered, even though you’re based in the UK. Microenterprises (fewer than ten staff and turnover or balance sheet of no more than €2 million) providing services are exempt.
In the UK, the Equality Act 2010 already expects reasonable adjustments for disabled customers. Building your shop to WCAG 2.2 AA covers both, and it simply makes buying easier for everyone.
What your customers type into Google
These are the kinds of searches we plan your pages around, alongside your town and service area:
- independent retailer online shop
- WooCommerce agency
- ecommerce website design
- online shop for small business
- click and collect website
- Google Shopping set up
- Shopify vs WooCommerce
- homeware shop website
Our recommendation
Commerce, built on WooCommerce
Most retailers choose our Commerce package (£9,950 + VAT) for a WooCommerce shop with up to 250 products, payments, shipping and stock rules.
Questions we’re often asked
Should I use WooCommerce or Shopify?
Both are good. WooCommerce gives you more control, no platform transaction fees and full ownership. Shopify is simpler but charges monthly fees and extra fees if you don’t use Shopify Payments. We’ll help you choose honestly.
Can my shop show stock from my till system?
Often, yes. Many EPOS systems can connect to WooCommerce, so stock levels stay in sync between your shop and website.
Does the European Accessibility Act apply to my UK shop?
If you sell to consumers in EU countries, it may well apply, unless you’re a microenterprise. Building to WCAG 2.2 AA is the sensible way to meet it.
Can you move my products from my old website?
Yes. We import products, images, categories and customer accounts, and set up redirects so you keep your Google rankings.
