We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement explains how accessible the site is and how to tell us about problems.
Our standard
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG is the international standard for web accessibility, and it’s the benchmark used under the UK Equality Act 2010, the European Accessibility Act and US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidance.
What we’ve done
- Colour contrast checked to at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for interface elements.
- Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- A “skip to content” link, clear headings and labelled page landmarks for screen reader users.
- Forms with visible labels, helpful hints, autocomplete, and error messages that explain how to fix the problem.
- A cookie banner that can be used with a keyboard and screen reader, with “Reject” as easy to reach as “Accept”.
- Text that can be enlarged to 200% and reflows on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Animation that switches off if you’ve asked your device to reduce motion.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and diagrams.
- No time limits, and no CAPTCHA puzzles on our forms.
Known limitations
Some content comes from other companies and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. This includes Google Maps (loaded only if you choose to show it), Cloudflare’s form security check and the Google Partner and Green Web badges. If you have any trouble with these, please contact us and we’ll help another way.
Feedback and contact
If you find something on this website that’s hard to use, please tell us. Email stephen@dwworld.co.uk, call or WhatsApp 07921 866754, or use our contact form. We aim to reply within two working days, and we can provide information in another format if you need it.
How we test
We test with automated tools (axe-core), keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom and screen readers, including NVDA and VoiceOver. We re-test whenever we make significant changes.
